Administrative Clerk

Summary
The Administrative Clerk is a multi-skilled position that provides a first link in the communication chain by answering incoming calls and greeting visitors to the facility. This position is also responsible for all activities related to Vision Screenings and Education in the local community as well as ensuring proper training records for program staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls
  • Relays messages and announcements
  • Greet visitors and maintain visitor sign in sheets/records
  • Conduct shredding quotes and coordinate Shred Nation leads
  • Coordinate and Conduct Vision Screenings and Education Sessions in the local community.
  • Assists the Doctor with low vision patients
  • Schedules Low Vision patients
  • Facilitates the acquisition of low vision aides and maintains the inventory of items on premises
  • Assist with Photo ID Centers as Photo Technician
  • Maintain Employee Badges and Fobs
  • Maintain building door schedules
  • Participate in special projects (fundraising, newsletter, etc.)
  • Operate all office machines
  • All other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook, etc
