Shredding
Nearly everyone has too much paper! A lot of it confidential. All needing safe and environmentally responsible disposal. WCBA can help, thanks to the Document Destruction Services offered in the WCBA Production Center.
Nearly 80 program participants (“consumers”) with intellectual disabilities keep the shredders going. Currently, they are destroying 130,000 pounds of paper every month, more than 1.5 million pounds of documents every year.
Once shredding is complete, the shredded paper is baled and transported by tractor trailer to a paper mill, where it is used to make toilet tissue or paper towels.
