We are currently accepting new patients for our Low Vision Services with Dr. Chris Cakanac OD, FAAO our Low Vision Doctor.

Together with Dr. Chris Cakanac we have been providing low vision services to the visually impaired for over 20 years.

Dr. Cakanac uses the latest technology in visual aids during his exam to ensure that you live a more independent lifestyle. Often times he is able to prescribe visual aids that enable patients to read, watch television and enjoy life out in the community as well.

National Day For Choice – Spring Open House

16th Annual Golf Outing

Join the Westmoreland County Blind Association for our 16th Annual Golf Outing.

  • Date: Friday, June 8
  • New Times: Registration at 8:00 a.m. Shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.
  • Location: Greensburg Country Club
  • Price: $100 per golfer

We have a great day planned for attendees including 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch at the turn, games of skill and chance, buffet dinner at 2:30 p.m., raffles, prizes, and a commemorative gift. The first Hole-In-One at designated hole will win a prize from Hillview Motors.

Dining In The Dark

The Mt. Pleasant Viking Leo Club sponsored by the Mt. Pleasant Township Lions Club is hosting a Dinner in the Dark fundraiser on April 20 at Mt. Pleasant Area High School to benefit the Westmoreland County Blind Association! This unique event gives participants a chance to experience a meal through the eyes of someone with visual disabilities.

They are looking for donations to be used for the Chinese auction baskets. In addition, they will be collecting used eyeglasses at the event. Your donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions about the event or donations contact Jennifer Bradley at 724-610-0257.
